Sun 18th Dec 2022

With thanks to Oxfordshire Community Foundation we will be running a Food and Skill Share from January – September. This project will see us offer free lunch every other week to members of our community who live in OX4 and are facing financial disadvantage. The garden will be open all day of these days to offer community members the opportunity to learn practical gardening skills that they can take home to help support them growing their own food. Each month we will run a Skill Share or Wellbeing Workshop.

To support this project we need a Food Host who will primarily:

  • Provide a warm welcome to our community members from OX4
  • Serve pre-prepared food
  • Make drinks in the outdoor kitchen
  • Ensure cabin is kept heated
  • Signpost community members to local support services

The Food Host will be required every other Tuesday, starting Tuesday 17th - Tuesday 26th September for 2 hours over lunchtime. This is a freelance post so you will need to ensure you pay your own taxes etc. The rate of pay is £15/hour for two hours each session. The total payable is £450.

Applications close Tuesday January 3rd 2023 at 5pm

To apply you should email a copy of your CV and no more than 500 words on why you’d like to support this project and what it is that you can bring to the project to ensure our community members get the most out of their time at the garden.
